Tedol is a medicine used to prevent and treat skin infections caused by fungi and yeast.
Tedol is often used in the following situations:
- Dandruff (films on the scalp);
- Seborrheic dermatitis (a condition of brown and reddish patches, with white or yellowish flaking, usually on the face or chest);
- Diaper rash when its origin is a fungal infection (reddish lesions);
- Pityriasis versicolor (usually characterized by small, irregular, white or brownish spots on the trunk);
- Ringworm: of the body, scalp, groin, hands and feet (ringworm of the feet is often known as athlete's foot);
- Cutaneous candidiasis (red lesions with rash).
How to Use
- Tedol liquid cutaneous should be applied to the affected and surrounding areas, once or twice a day in cases of: cutaneous candidiasis, diaper rash caused by fungi, ringworm of the body, groin, hands, feet and pityriasis versicolor. In the case of Tedol cream, it is recommended to apply it once a day.
- In cases of seborrheic dermatitis, Tedol should be applied to the affected area, once or twice a day depending on the severity of the infection.
- To prevent seborrheic dermatitis, Tedol should be applied once or twice a week.
- The usual duration of treatment with Tedol cream is:
- Tinea corporis -3 to 4 weeks
- Tinea cruris – 2 to 4 weeks
- Tinea pedis – 4 to 6 weeks
- Yeast infections – 2 to 3 weeks
- Tinea versicolor – 2 to 3 weeks
- Seborrheic dermatitis – 2 to 4 weeks.
- Treatment with Tedol should be continued for a few more days after all symptoms have disappeared.
- Clear signs of improvement are usually seen between the first and fourth week of treatment.
- Recommended only for ages 2 and up.
- Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical advice.
Store below 25°C. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label or carton after “EXP”. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. After first opening the bottle or tube, use within 12 months. Do not use Tedol if you notice any visible signs of deterioration. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.
