NURSICARE pads are not just simple nursing pads; they are therapeutic pads that provide an effective solution for healing cracked nipples. NURSICARE's function is to heal and reduce the pain felt by the mother so she can enjoy breastfeeding.
NURSICARE does not stick or adhere to the nipple. It contains a blend of glycerine with a cleansing agent which, together with a semi-permeable polyurethane membrane, ensures the nipple wound heals quickly and effectively. The pads clean and fill the wound bed, accelerating healing. Thus, this solution for cracked nipples helps maintain the ideal level of moisture.
Furthermore, the pads are capable of absorbing 10 times their weight in liquid. The therapeutic pad can be reused without tearing or leaving any residue on the wound, so there is no need to clean the nipple before or after each use. Thanks to this quality, NURSICARE ensures the necessary hygiene and asepsis compared to other products such as ointments, creams, or oils.
How to Use
- The NURSICARE pad is placed on the nipple with the side printed with text facing outwards. We recommend activating the pad when it is first removed from the packaging by lightly wetting the nipple with water using your fingers. There is no need to repeat the process later.
- When breastfeeding, you must remove the pad and place it on a clean surface, with the inner side facing upwards to avoid contamination. NURSICARE can be reused multiple times until it is saturated with breast milk. The exact duration will depend on each woman and her milk leakage, and it is noticeable because the patch swells from the inside, like the top of a muffin.
- If a crack is being treated, it is important that NURSICARE is in direct contact with the wound. You can also make a small, cross-shaped cut if the crack is at the base of the nipple, ensuring the compound contacts the wound.
