MODIUM ^® Rapid is the fastest dissolving tablet for effective diarrhea relief. It works with your body to restore your gut to its natural balance. It can reduce diarrhea after just one dose.

Treatment with IMODIUM ^® Rapid is symptomatic only. If any aetiology is determined, appropriate treatment should be given. In the absence of clinical improvement within 48 hours, administration should be discontinued. Patients should be advised to consult their physician.

Orodispersible tablets are specifically designed to provide convenient and discreet relief wherever you go, as they dissolve quickly on the tongue, so you don't need to take them with water.

How to Use

Acute diarrhea

Adults and children over 6 years of age: The initial dose is 2 tablets (4 mg) for adults and 1 tablet (2 mg) for children; followed by 1 tablet (2 mg) after each diarrheal bowel movement.

Chronic diarrhea

Adults and children over 6 years of age: The initial dose is 2 tablets (4 mg) per day for adults and 1 tablet (2 mg) per day for children; this dose should be adjusted until 1-2 solid stools per day are obtained. The maximum dose for acute and chronic diarrhoea is 8 tablets per day for adults; in children the maximum daily dose should be related to weight (3 tablets/20 kg).

Non-prescription medicine. Imodium®Rapid (loperamide) and Imodium®Plus (loperamide + simethicone). Medicines. Imodium® Rapid is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diarrhoea. After ileostomy, it reduces the number of stools and the volume of stools and increases their consistency. Imodium® Plus is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea associated with abdominal discomfort caused by gas, including distension, cramps or flatulence. Imodium®Rapid and Imodium®Plus are contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components. Imodium®Plus is contraindicated in children < 12 years and Imodium® Rapid in children < 6 years. Discontinue use if constipation, abdominal distension or ileus develops or if symptoms persist for > 2 days. Do not use: pregnant/breastfeeding women. Precaution: liver failure.
