Gino–Canesten® vaginal soft capsule is an antifungal medication indicated for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis and is effective in relieving its 6 main symptoms: itching, redness, inflammation, pain, burning and abnormal vaginal discharge - white and lumpy, similar to cottage cheese (without bad smell). With its drop shape, adapted to the female anatomy and a smooth surface, Gino-Canesten vaginal soft capsule allows for easier and more comfortable application.

How to Use

Each pack of Gino-Canesten® vaginal soft capsule contains 1 vaginal soft capsule and an applicator. Vaginal use.

The recommended dose of Gino–Canesten® vaginal soft capsule is:
Adult women and girls 12 years of age and older : 1 vaginal softgel is for single use only, as it constitutes a one-day treatment.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
• Before applying Gino-Canesten® vaginal soft capsule, wash your hands thoroughly.
• You should insert the vaginal soft capsule as deep as possible into the vagina at night, before going to bed. It is recommended that you apply it while lying on your back with your legs slightly bent.
• Some of the contents may come out, so we recommend using a panty liner or sanitary pad to avoid getting your favorite underwear dirty.

Treatment should not be carried out during your period. You should not use tampons, douches, spermicides or other vaginal products while using this medicine. You can repeat the treatment if necessary, however, recurrent infections may indicate an underlying medical cause. You should seek medical advice if symptoms return within 2 months.

It can be used by adult women and girls aged 12 and over.

Gino-Canesten 1 vaginal soft capsule: Contains clotrimazole. Indicated for recurrent vaginal candidiasis. Indicated for infections of the labia and adjacent areas, as well as inflammation of the glans and foreskin of the sexual partner caused by yeasts (cream). Contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Special warnings and precautions for use: Fever, lower abdominal pain, back pain, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, nausea, vaginal bleeding and/or associated shoulder pain and in the first 3 months of pregnancy. Discontinue use during breastfeeding. May reduce the effectiveness and safety of latex-based products such as condoms and diaphragms. The effect is temporary and occurs only during treatment.
