Canesten® Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes, namely interdigital mycoses on the hands and feet, pityriasis versicolor and nappy rash.
How to Use
Cutaneous use. Apply and spread a small amount of the product to completely cover the affected area and surrounding area, paying special attention to the folds of the toes. Rub until completely absorbed.
The recommended dose of Canesten® Cream is:
• Apply 2-3 times a day to the infected area
Duration of treatment:
Fungal infections of the hands and feet: 3 - 4 weeks
Pityriasis versicolor: 1 - 3 weeks
Diaper rash: 1 week (after this period, treatment can continue when indicated by the doctor)
You should inform your doctor if there is no improvement in symptoms after 4 weeks of treatment.
It is also recommended that:
1. Before application, wash and dry the infected area thoroughly.
2. Close the tube tightly after use.
3. Wash your hands after each application.
It is not recommended to administer other products simultaneously in the area where the medicine is administered. Canesten® Cream can be applied to all ages, including children and the elderly.
Canesten cream. Contains Clotrimazole. Topical treatment of fungal infections: interdigital mycoses caused by dermatophytes (tinea pedum, tinea manum), Pityriasis versicolor, Nappy rash (cream), Adjunct to treatment with cream and solution (powder) and Prophylaxis of recurrence of fungal infections of the intertriginous areas of the skin, in particular athlete's foot (powder). Contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or any of the excipients. Non-prescription medicine. Read the package leaflet carefully.
