Canesten Cutaneous Powder is used to treat fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes, namely interdigital mycoses on the hands and feet and pityriasis versicolor. It is also indicated for the prevention of reinfections of the skin, especially in areas with greater moisture, such as the groin and the spaces between the toes (athlete's foot).
How to Use
For cutaneous use. Apply to the area to be treated, sprinkling it in, two to three times a day.
In the case of athlete's foot, Canesten Cutaneous Powder should also be sprinkled into socks and shoes to absorb moisture and prevent re-infection. Canesten Cutaneous Powder should be used after applying Canesten Unidia Cream or Canesten Unidia Cutaneous Spray Solution.
The recommended dose of Canesten® powder is:
1 application on the affected area 2-3 times a day; during
Interdigital mycoses: 3 - 4 weeks
Pityriasis versicolor: 1 - 3 weeks
You should inform your doctor if there is no improvement after 4 weeks of treatment.
It is also recommended that:
1. Before application, wash and dry the infected area thoroughly.
2. Close the package tightly after use.
3. Wash your hands after each application.
It is not recommended to administer other products simultaneously in the area where the medicine is administered. Canesten® Cream can be applied to all ages, including children and the elderly.
Canesten cutaneous powder: Contains Clotrimazole. Topical treatment of fungal infections: interdigital mycoses caused by dermatophytes (tinea pedum, tinea manum), Pityriasis versicolor, Nappy rash (cream), Adjunct to treatment with cream and solution (powder) and Prophylaxis of recurrence of fungal infections of the intertriginous areas of the skin, in particular athlete's foot (powder). Contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or any of the excipients. Non-prescription medicine. Read the package leaflet carefully.
