BIAFINE ® is an oil-in-water emulsion formulated for the treatment of superficial non-infected skin wounds, first-degree burns and sunburn. When applied appropriately to a wound, BIAFINE ® provides an optimal moist environment for the healing process.

How to Use

Cutaneous route.

  • Solar erythema, first-degree burns, superficial non-infected skin wounds: A thick layer of Biafine ® should be applied, extending well beyond the surface of the wound or lesion. Continue to apply Biafine ® as described above, 2 to 4 times daily, until the affected area is completely healed.
  • 1st degree burns: Penetrate the last layer of Biafine ® through light massage.
  • Superficial non-infected skin wounds: After cleaning the lesion, apply as described above and reapply in order to always maintain a surplus of emulsion on the lesion. Cover if necessary with a moistened compress and finish the dressing. Do not use a dry absorbent dressing.

Non-prescription medicine. Read the information in the package leaflet carefully. If you have any questions or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist. For further information, see the package leaflet here .
