Vicks Vaporub Ointment

Medication indicated for the symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion and cough related to colds and flu. It releases medicinal vapors that pass through the respiratory tract, relieving coughs and nasal congestion. It also relieves muscle pain caused by flu or colds.

• Relieves nasal congestion in less than 2 minutes and for up to 8 hours.

How to Use

• Cutaneous use (on the skin): Apply to the neck, chest and back, 2 to 3 times a day.
  • Adults and children over 12 years: 2-3 teaspoons.
  • Children between 6 and 12 years old: 1-2 teaspoons.
  • Children 30 months to 6 years: 1/2-1 teaspoon.
  • Do not use on children under 30 months of age.
• Inhalation route
  • Adults and children over 6 years old.
  • Dissolve 2 teaspoons in a container of very hot but not boiling water.
  • Inhale for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Do not reheat or use boiling water. Do not use the microwave.
  • Do not apply to children under 6 years of age by this route.

Ingredients

levomenthol, camphor and eucalyptus oil

Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application. Apply, massaging gently. Do not apply to wounds, burns or infections. Do not apply to the face or mucous membranes. Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin. Do not apply to the nostrils or face. Not recommended in cases of allergy to any of the constituents. By friction, not recommended for children under 30 months. By inhalation, not recommended for children under 6 years. If inhaled, do not reheat. For external use only. Do not take.
