Oxolamine Syrup 250 ml

Oxolamine 10 mg/ml, Syrup 250 ml, is indicated for the relief of dry and irritating cough.

Oxolamine is a substance with anti-inflammatory effects, which are mainly felt in the respiratory system, exerting an antitussive and bronchospasmolytic action. The antitussive action of Oxolamine is mainly due to its anti-inflammatory effect, which reduces irritation of nerve endings in the respiratory system, thus alleviating coughing. Oxolamine is an antitussive medicine used to relieve symptoms of dry, uncomfortable and persistent coughs.

How to Use

• Do not use in cases of persistent chronic cough associated with respiratory pathology. Do not use in cases of productive cough.
• Take Oxolamine preferably after meals or as directed by your doctor.
• The duration of treatment depends on the clinical situation and its evolution.

The usual dose is:

• Adults: 10 ml (in a measuring cup) every 4 hours
• Children: In children, the duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days, unless otherwise advised by a doctor.
• Age 4 months to 2 years: 7.5 mg/kg/day or 2.5 ml (in a measuring cup) 3 times a day.
• Age 2 to 10 years: 7.5 mg/kg/day or 5 ml (in a measuring cup) 3 times a day.
