Aero-OM Bisacodyl Laxative 5mg 40 tablets.

Aero-OM® Laxative contains bisacodyl as its active substance and, as such, helps to stimulate defecation, reduce intestinal transit time, and soften stools, thereby promoting the natural action of the intestine and effective relief from constipation. It starts acting within 6 hours, is sucrose-free, and is compatible with breastfeeding (under medical supervision).

• For use in cases of constipation
• For the preparation of diagnostic aids, in pre- and post-operative treatment, and whenever evacuation needs to be facilitated.

How to Use

Tablets should be swallowed whole (without chewing) with an adequate amount of liquid. It is recommended to take the tablets at night so that bowel movement occurs the following morning.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the recommended dose is:

1. In case of constipation
   • Adults and children over 10 years: 1 -2 tablets (5 – 10 mg), per day.
   • Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 tablet (5 mg) per day.
   Children up to 10 years of age with chronic or persistent constipation should only be treated under medical supervision.
2. For preparation of diagnostic procedures or pre-operative treatment
   In the preparation of diagnostic procedures, in pre-operative treatment, and in conditions requiring facilitated defecation, Aero-OM Laxative should be used under medical supervision.
   • Adults and children over 10 years: 2 tablets (10 mg) in the morning and 2 tablets (10 mg) at night, on the day before the examination.
   • Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 tablet (5 mg) at night.
3. It should not be taken with products that reduce the acidity of the upper gastrointestinal tract, such as milk or dairy products, alkaline mineral waters, antacids, or proton pump inhibitors. It should not be taken for prolonged treatment without medical guidance. Consult a doctor if you do not feel better or if you worsen after 7 days.
4. Do not take Aero-OM® Laxative if you are allergic to bisacodyl or any other component of this medicine; in case of severe dehydration; if you have ileus, intestinal obstruction, severe abdominal surgery situations such as acute appendicitis, severe inflammatory bowel diseases; severe abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting which may be indicative of more serious conditions.
