Resource Protein is a food for specific medical purposes. It is a complete polymeric formula, hypercaloric, hyperproteic, and fibre-free. Energy concentration: 1.25 kcal/ml. Energy distribution of macronutrients (Lipids/Carbohydrates/Protein): 25/45/30
One bottle (200ml) of Meritene Clinical Protein provides:
- 250kcal;
- 7g of lipids;
- 28g of carbohydrates;
- 18.8g of protein;
Clinically lactose-free. Gluten-free. Suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Recommended only for individuals over three years of age. Use under medical supervision.
It can be used as an exclusive or supplementary diet in individuals with increased protein needs and/or pathologies that lead to malnutrition, namely:
- Decreased protein intake associated with mild to moderate loss of appetite;
- Sarcopenia;
- Frail elderly;
- Surgical intervention after hip fracture;
- Pressure ulcers;
- Dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
How to Use
- As an exclusive diet: Depending on the patient's nutritional needs, according to medical advice
- As a complementary diet: 1-3 packs/day
- Ready to use orally or via tube.
- Do not administer intravenously.
- UHT solution. Packaged in a protective atmosphere.
- It is recommended to drink cold.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
- Once opened, store covered at room temperature for a maximum of 6 hours and up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
