Spidifen EF 400mg 20 tablets

Spidifen EF 400 mg tablets is a medicine with analgesic and anti-inflammatory action. Treatment of mild to moderate pain (rheumatic and muscular pain), back pain, neuralgia, migraine, headache, toothache, dysmenorrhea. Adjuvant in the treatment of fever and flu.

Arginine significantly accelerates the absorption of Ibuprofen compared to conventional Ibuprofen-based pharmaceutical forms and, as it passes quickly through the stomach, provides pain relief in a short space of time, accelerating the analgesic effect.

How to Use

Spidifen EF 400 mg tablets are indicated for adults and adolescents (over 12 years of age).

1 tablet 2-3 times a day.

• You should not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose of 3 tablets (1200 mg per day).
• The tablet should be taken with a glass of water, with food in case of stomach problems.

Non-prescription medicine. Spidifen EF is a non-prescription medicine sold exclusively in pharmacies. Carefully read the information on the packaging and in the package leaflet. Each film-coated tablet contains 738 mg of ibuprofen arginate, equivalent to 400 mg of ibuprofen, as the active substance. Excipient(s) with known effect: Sucrose – 16.7 mg; Sodium – 82.7 mg (in the form of sodium bicarbonate). Each sachet of Spidifen EF, 400 mg contains 738 mg of ibuprofen arginate, equivalent to 400 mg of ibuprofen, as the active substance. Excipient(s) with known effect: Sodium (in the form of sodium bicarbonate and sodium saccharin) – 57 mg per sachet. Sucrose – 1770 mg per sachet. Aspartame (E951) – 60 mg per sachet. It is indicated for adults, in the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain (rheumatic and muscular pain), back pain, neuralgia, migraine, headache, toothache, dysmenorrhea, fever and symptoms of colds and flu. It is contraindicated in cases of Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients History of hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. bronchospasm, asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria) in response to the administration of acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs; History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, related to previous NSAID therapy; Active peptic ulcer/bleeding or history of recurrent peptic ulcer/bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding); Patients with bleeding diathesis or other coagulation disorders; Ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, peptic ulcer or recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding (defined as two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding). Severe heart failure. Severe hepatic impairment. Severe renal impairment (doses >1600 mg/day). During the third trimester of pregnancy. Precautions: Undesirable effects may be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms. The interval between doses will depend on the development of symptoms but should never be less than 4 hours. If this medicine is required for more than 3 days for headache, fever or primary dysmenorrhoea, or for more than 4 days for pain, or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted. This medicine should not be administered for more than 7 days or in higher doses without consulting a doctor. If symptoms persist or worsen, medical advice should be sought. It should not be dispensed in the following situations, except on medical advice: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) or other autoimmune diseases; Uncontrolled high blood pressure, established ischaemic heart disease; Significant dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhoea or insufficient fluid intake). Be careful if you have a history of inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease) and liver or kidney failure. You should inform your doctor or pharmacist if you experience abdominal symptoms and digestive bleeding (vomiting or stools with blood). Read the information in the package leaflet carefully.
