Mucosolvan is indicated as a mucolytic adjuvant in the antibacterial treatment of respiratory infections in the presence of bronchial hypersecretion. Mucosolvan is indicated in adults. The active substance in Mucosolvan, ambroxol hydrochloride, increases secretion in the respiratory tract. It increases the production of pulmonary surfactant and stimulates ciliary activity. These actions result in improved mucus flow and transport (mucociliary clearance). By stimulating fluid secretion and mucociliary clearance, it facilitates expectoration and coughing. In patients with sore throat, pain and redness were significantly reduced.

How to Use

• The recommended dosage for adults is 1 prolonged-release capsule once daily. The capsules should not be opened or chewed, but swallowed whole with plenty of liquid. Mucosolvan can be taken with or without food.
