Alerjon is a decongestant indicated for the symptomatic treatment of irritation of the
ocular conjunctiva. Alerjon is an ophthalmic medication, in the pharmaceutical form of eye drops solution, whose active substance is oxymetazoline hydrochloride, at a concentration of 0.25 mg/ml. Oxymetazoline hydrochloride is a sympathomimetic drug with high decongestant power.
How to Use
- Adult: The recommended dose is 1 to 2 drops, in the eyeball, 4 times a day.
- Children: Do not use in children under 6 years of age. The recommended dose for children over 6 years of age is the same as for adults, 1 or 2 drops 4 times a day.
- Elderly: Alerjon is suitable for use in the elderly. Caution is recommended if: angina pectoris (chest pain due to problems with the blood supply to the heart), arterial hypertension (high blood pressure), atherosclerosis (a condition in which blood vessels become narrower due to the deposition of fat, which makes it difficult for blood to pass through), diabetes (high blood glucose levels), hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid gland).
