Canesten® Unidia cutaneous spray solution is a cutaneous antifungal indicated for the treatment of: athlete's foot, hand mycoses, pityriasis versicolor (beach fungus). With a single application per day, it provides rapid relief from symptoms such as itching and burning.
How to Use
Cutaneous use. Canesten Unidia cutaneous spray solution should be applied once a day, preferably at night, to the area to be treated, in a thin layer, rubbing in lightly. To treat an area the size of the palm of the hand, it is generally sufficient to press the atomiser once or twice.
To achieve a lasting cure, treatment with Canesten Unidia cutaneous spray solution must be carried out properly and for the treatment periods indicated (by your doctor), which are normally the following:
• Hand and athlete's foot mycoses : 3 weeks
• Pityriasis versicolor : 2 weeks
Also recommended:
1. Before application, wash the infected area with soap and water and dry thoroughly.
2. Wash your hands after each application.
It is not recommended to administer other products simultaneously to the area where the medicine is administered. Canesten® Unidia solution can be used by young people and adults. In infants and young children, Canesten Unidia solution should only be used under medical supervision.
Canesten Unidia cutaneous spray solution: Contains bifonazole. Topical treatment of fungal infections: Mycoses of the hands and feet (“athlete’s foot”), Pityriasis versicolor and Treatment of the skin of the nail bed after nail removal, as part of a treatment for onychomycosis (cream). Contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to bifonazole or any of the excipients. Warnings: patients with a history of hypersensitivity reactions to other imidazole antifungals; patients on warfarin therapy; the cream contains cetostearyl alcohol (may cause local skin reactions, e.g. contact dermatitis) and benzyl alcohol (may cause allergic reactions and mild local irritation); in cases of a history of hypersensitivity, it is advisable to use the pharmaceutical form (cutaneous spray solution).
