Gaviscon Duefet does not enter the bloodstream. It is a product with a good safety profile and is sugar-free. Gaviscon Duefet has a dual action in providing rapid relief from heartburn and indigestion. In addition to the iconic ingredient common to the entire Gaviscon range, sodium alginate, its composition differs from the Gaviscon range in terms of calcium carbonate, with twice the amount of this antacid.
How to Use
- Adults, including the elderly and children over 12 years: 1 to 2 sachets after meals and at bedtime, orally, up to 4 times a day.
- Children under 12 years: Should be taken only on medical advice.
- Can be used during pregnancy.
Active Ingredients
- 500mg sodium alginate (per 10ml)
- 213mg sodium bicarbonate (10ml)
- 325mg calcium carbonate (10ml)
Oral use. Read the package leaflet before use. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist after 7 days. Contains sodium and calcium. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have been advised to follow a low-salt (sodium) diet. Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have kidney stones or high levels of calcium in your blood. This medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed). Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
