Alka-Seltzer® is an antacid medication indicated for the relief and symptomatic treatment of: stomach acidity, heartburn (burning sensation in the stomach and indigestion. Alka Seltzer® is an effective formula for relieving stomach discomfort: acidity and burning.
How to Use
This medicine is administered orally. It is recommended to always use the lowest effective dose.
The recommended dose of Alka-Seltzer® is:
For adults and adolescents from 12 years of age : 2 tablets every 4 hours according to needs or medical advice. Do not exceed a total of 8 tablets in 24 hours.
For adults aged 60 years and over : 2 tablets every 4 hours according to needs or medical advice. Do not exceed a total of 4 tablets in 24 hours.
Alka Seltzer® should not be taken on a stomach that is excessively full of food or drink. You should wait between 20 minutes and 1 hour after a meal before taking the medicine. You must wait until the effervescent tablet has completely dissolved in water before taking it.
Alka-Seltzer® contains 2081.8 mg of sodium bicarbonate. Indicated for heartburn, indigestion due to acidity and gastric discomfort. Dissolve 2 effervescent tablets every 4 hours in at least 100 ml of water; Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. Contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to the components. Not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Contains a source of phenylalanine. May be dangerous for people with phenylketonuria. Use during pregnancy is not recommended.
