Nicotinell 14 mg/24 hours Transdermal system, indicated for those who want to quit smoking.

It is available in three dosages: Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h, Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h and Nicotinell 21 mg/24 h. The dosage that is right for you is determined based on the number of cigarettes you smoke per day or by means of the Fagerström test. This test measures your level of nicotine dependence and the score obtained will allow you to select the most appropriate dosage for your case.

Standard treatment comprises 3 phases:

  • Initial phase: helps you quit smoking.
  • Intermediate phase: this phase consolidates the cessation of smoking and begins the reduction of nicotine.
  • Reduction: helps you finish the treatment.

Nicotinell belongs to a group of medicines used to help you stop smoking. Nicotinell is a transdermal patch, which contains the medicine on the side that sticks to the skin. This medicine is used to relieve withdrawal symptoms in people who are dependent on nicotine and who want to stop smoking.

How to Use
  • In order to quit smoking with this treatment, you must stop smoking completely. Do not use Nicotinell with other nicotine-containing medications such as gum or lozenges at the same time, unless you are advised to do so by your doctor.
  • Replace the Nicotinell transdermal patch every 24 hours.
  • The dosage of the Nicotinell transdermal patch may need to change during treatment as your dependence on nicotine changes.

Non-prescription medicine. Read the information in the package leaflet carefully. If you have any questions or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
